Reef Love

I am a little sleepy for writing anything long. I just got back from a night snorkel on my favorite little reef. I love how different the reef feels at night. During the day you can see all around you and how shallow the area is. At night everything feels so vast! You can only really see as far as the light from your light travels.

The creatures on the night reef are different from the day reef. I will just leave you with my favorite image. There are brittle stars on our reef, and at night their arms snake out from every crack. But when you shine your light on them they start to retract back into the dark corners.
